Professional Experience
Ms. Janecek was admitted to the State Bar of Texas in 1993. She is also admitted to practice before the U.S. District Court for the Southern District of Texas. During law school, Ms. Janecek was an intern for the First Judicial District Court of Appeals in Houston. After graduating, she clerked for the firm of Tucker, Hendryx & Gascoyne, P.C. in Houston before joining Oldenettel & Sadberry, P.C. as an associate. Prior to moving to Tyler, Ms. Janecek practiced with the firm of Butler & Hailey, P.C. in the areas of real estate litigation, collection of debts and judgments, consumer litigation, landlord/tenant disputes and directors and officers’ liability issues. She joined the Firm in 2004.
Educational Background
Ms. Janecek attended the University of Texas at Austin where she majored in Communications and received a Bachelor of Science degree in 1990. She studied law at South Texas College of Law in Houston and graduated with a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 1993. During law school, she received the American Jurisprudence Award in Civil Trial Advocacy and was a member of the Board of Advocates, serving as a Director from 1992-1993. She also participated in moot court and mock trial competitions.
