Professional Experience
After graduating from law school, Mr. Rook began private practice with the law firm of Fowler, Wiles, Norton and Keith in Dallas, Texas, focusing on the defense of medical malpractice, products liability, premises liability, and trucking litigation. He helped form Jones Rook Austin in 1997, a Dallas based insurance defense and commercial litigation firm focusing on medical malpractice, products liability, trucking litigation and commercial litigation. He joined the litigation section of Flowers Davis in 2006. Mr. Rook is an active trial attorney who has tried numerous jury and non-jury cases in various counties throughout Texas. He is admitted to practice before all courts in the State of Texas and is also admitted to practice before the United States District Courts for the Eastern and Northern Districts of Texas.
Educational Background
Mr. Rook obtained his Bachelor of Business Administration degree from Baylor University in 1987, majoring in finance and economics. He attended law school at the University of Houston, graduating with a Doctor of Jurisprudence degree in 2001. During law school, he was an active participant in moot court and mock trial competitions.
Professional Development
Mr. Rook is currently a member of the State Bar of Texas, American Bar Association, and Defense Research Institute. He is an active member of the community and is presently involved in coaching his daughters in basketball and soccer.
Personal Information
Chad Carlton Rook was born in Tyler, Texas on December 14, 1964. He lives in Tyler, Texas with his wife, Christina, and their five daughters, Caroline, Catherine, Sophie-Claire, Ella and Rose.
